System Administrator @ Optum — building my way into an associate Software Engineer role, one shipped project at a time.
By day, I keep healthcare infrastructure online. In the hours around that, I write production code — a running showcase of my shipped builds is below, each one interview-defensible: if it's on this page, I can explain exactly how it works.

I've spent my career on the side of the ticket that keeps other people's software running — infrastructure, access, uptime, compliance. A software engineering internship at Apple and a Bachelor's in Software Engineering from WGU gave me the other half of the picture. I'm combining both on purpose: I understand systems in production because I've been paged for them, and now I build the software that runs on them too.
Outside of work: two 3D printers running more often than they should, a gaming PC I've rebuilt more times than is reasonable, and a genuinely nerdy interest in optimizing travel rewards ecosystems.

- Built a responsive UI using HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React – improving navigation efficiency by at least 50%
- Improved code quality through unit testing and Git-based version control practices
- Analyzed RESTful APIs using Postman to diagnose failures and identify root causes, reducing escalations by 40%
- Maintained <2-hour SLA response time by leveraging SQL to investigate and resolve database issues

• Built and deployed a full-stack ticketing platform with requester/agent roles, status workflows, threaded comments, and an agent
dashboard, on a Supabase (PostgreSQL) backend
• Enforced access control at the database layer using PostgreSQL Row-Level Security, so users cannot read or modify other users'
tickets even via direct API calls
• Designed and built a Node.js/Express API with a SQLite store, a threshold engine that derives per-server health status, and log
ingestion with server/level/text filtering
• Containerized both services with Docker Compose and built a GitHub Actions CI pipeline that runs unit tests and Docker image
builds on every push
Server-side web app that generates scannable QR codes from any URL — no external APIs, deployed on Render.
